Productivity Tips (I)

Posted on: May 21st, 2017, in Organization & Productivity.

Over the time I searched for ways to keep myself organized. From all the things I found online, only a few things worked out for me and became a routine. I will list them down below.

To do lists

I make a to do list everyday. It keeps me organized and helps me remember everything I have to do. I prefer to write down my to do lists, because I can customize them as I want and add some colors and drawings when I feel inspired. It keeps me more motivated to accomplish everything on the list. Also, I like to categorize my to do lists and color code the categories. Besides the fact that is fun to do, it helps keeping me more organized during the day.

Organizing my workspace

I like to keep my desk oganized and clean when I have something to work on. Also, to make my workplace cozy and to motivate me, I like to have a vase with fresh flowers and a candle burning. Seeing such beautiful colors and smelling the scent of the candle, makes me feel more relaxed, focused and it increases my motivation to complete my tasks.

Keeping myself hydrated

I realized that I don’t drink enough water. I tried writing it down, adding it to my to do list, but it was all for nothing. When I bought this pink bottle, I started drinking a lot more water. This water bottle is so cute and beautiful that it motivates me to carry it with me and drink a lot of water. So if you don’t feel motivated to drink water, try buying something cute to drink from and you’ll notice the difference.

I am currently trying more ways to stay organized and motivated. I want to see if they work for me, and if they do, I will share them with you.

How do you keep yourself motivated? Do you like to be in a colorful and cute environment when you are working? Do you have some tips to stay organized? Let me know in the comments below. Take care <3

I love to-do lists! I am obsessed with them. It’s so fulfilling t cross out your to-dos and have all of them done!
I also don’t like a messy work space. I like to keep it clean because it keeps my mind from being messy and all over the place too.
One thing that will ruin my day is forgetting my water bottle. I cannot live without it. I would die from thirst if I forget it lol

Like you, I need to drink more water, especially now that it’s starting to warm up around here in California. When I drink soda in the summer, I tend to get headaches, which should be a lesson for me. Don’t drink soda during the summer or period. Ya know?

I’m actually starting a health and wellness blog, which will be launching sometime after finals is done (my last final is May 25). It’s a health journal reflecting my weight journey, a book reviewing blog, and college tips for new students who think college is too hard too handle. Ya know? But, I think I have told you this already? I don’t remember who I tell these things too.

This is a interesting and lovely post my dear. I’m loving all your posts so far on your site so inspirational, keep it up girl! I am trying my best to try minimalism to de clutter my life. So far it’s working it’s not all white or black like some people do but would like to just add a few things out on display in my room soon. I’m halfway there so far. I am trying also to do more To-Do lists myself I like yours and how you have it. Need to try it sometime, though not sure when.

My motivation comes from my family, friends, and my boyfriend the most. They help me through a lot of things in my life and support me as well. They make me feel important and worth something so I then keep going and trying my hardest to succeed in whatever I’m doing. As for my workspace I don’t really have one. Room is too small for a desk. But all around me are matching furniture that’s black and my walls are tan almost a coffee color that looks nice. Colorful objects surround my room as well lots of books on my bookshelf. That’s pretty much it I guess.

Right not not sure on tips myself I just go with the flow of things. But I like yours. Lastly I have to drink more water myself and still struggle a lot with it. So I know how you feel.

Please again take care ~<3

So, this is coming from a guy’s perspective – hahahaha – but you already know that!
I actually don’t use any type of list. I (mostly) can just remember all the stuff I have to do during the day or during the week. (Consider that a miracle, because 4 jobs + 1 internship = ONE BUSY & HECTIC schedule!)
My environment doesn’t really matter to me. It can be colorful or dull and boring, neat and tidy or an unruly mess. I’m still functional and able to get things done. (Is that weird? I just think it’s different.)
How do I stay motivated to get stuff done? I think about the future and what I want to have accomplished. Tbh, that’s the only reason I’ve stayed in school so long and haven’t dropped out or given up. I really want my college degree and I really want to be able to say that I did/made it; plus, I simply can’t (afford to) drop out. There’s no way I can pay my parents back all that money they spent on my college education.
Organizational tips? Lately, my phone has been my savior. Of course! I use it everyday, so why not use the “Memos” or “Calendar” to my benefit. Also, I’ve recently purchased a Smart Watch (not an Apple Watch or Samsung Gear), and I’ve loved it ever since it arrived in the mail.

P.S. Sorry for this ridiculously long comment. I guess I just had a lot to say. :P
P.P.S. Btw, I really enjoy reading your blog posts. I feel like you have such an interesting life!

I love that you divide your to do list into categories! I might have to try that! I usually do a to do list too, in my bullet journal. Though been slacking with that!

And that bottle is super cute! What scent is the candle by the way? *loves candles*
