New Times

Posted on: May 8th, 2017, in Website.

Hello and welcome back. I was thinking these past few weeks why I don’t want to do anything on my website. I just didn’t feel like it and every single time I opened it, I just closed it back. And then I realized that maybe it’s time for a change. I always loved my designs and I was always so proud of them, and I still am. But the way I am doing my website layouts, well, it just doesn’t suits me anymore.

I was always a fan of complex designs, abstract ones, colorful and using as many elements as possible, having lots of pages and content. But now, I don’t think that those designs reflects who I am anymore. I wanted something simple, something easy to navigate for me and for you. So I created the “Lovemore v7.0”.

I named it this way because it’s the 7th theme I created for this website. But why I needed a name like this? Because I recreated the entire website. I removed pages, elements and I tried to keep it as simple as possible and easy to navigate. Also, I tried to emphasize my blog, because this is what I want to focus on from now on. Don’t get me wrong, I love designing graphics and themes, but I guess I just don’t have the time for it anymore and it is not a priority for me. I am trying to change my life and focus on different things, so I decided that my website should reflect this.

Let’s take a look and see what is new:

These are the major changes I made, but there are more elements I added, but I will leave you to discover them. I am very content and very proud of how everything turned out, also the shades of blue I used are my favorite colors. After all the pink I used in my previous themes, I guess blue is more than welcome.

Now let me tell you a little about my past months. I tried to have fun, to meditate and reflect a lot about my life, choices, dreams, goals, feeling and relationships. I am still in the process of doing that but I feel like I am getting closer to figure things out with each day that passes. I guess life is a complicated journey and it takes a lot of time to figure out what path to follow. I will probably write more about this in the future, but for now I will let you explore the website. Take care, love everything around you and the most important thing, don’t forget to love yourselves. Also don’t forget t give me a reaction on this post (I want to see how it looks like XD).

Life is always so complicated and it’s something that I am in the process of figuring out a lot of the time. It’s never easy with it always changing but I know we can both find the meaning. I love the new layout and don’t worry, the layouts were so worth the wait :D

I love how it’s simplicity makes it beautiful.

I hear you, and totally understand what you mean; I do the same pretty often with my sites – maybe too often, because I get “tired” of my works relatively quickly and when that strikes I have to remove the “ugly” things a.s.a.p. or sometimes even start from scratch with a brand new name and site. :D
And who would not like this? Almost everyone goes through a phase like this and can relate to the feelings who led you to make this theme, you struck a chord in all of us so they’ll all love it. <3

Sometimes we all need to go back to simple things! And this theme totally reflects that! Its clean and easy to get around! Great job!

It really does make you have second or so thoughts when you become inactive with your site. It happened to me when I was (and still am) going through site migrations with all these technical issues and problems coming along the way. As a web developer in training, these issues really gave me a legitimate challenge on how I would do if this were in a real-life on the job situation, and I really needed that. Also, I know we haven’t kept in touch with one another for awhile, but I figured you were busy with your studies, after all, I can really see (from all the past chats we’ve gone through) how determined and motivated you are with your personal and growth goals, and that for me is very admirable.

When you have your mind focused on a goal much bigger than just maintaining a blog/website/graphics store, there will be chances that you will start having a second look at the way you design your sites (and not just about the theme you currently have right now). You would feel like “What the heck is this? This isn’t for me!” and then you start doing all you can to do a lot of changes until you feel that your designing finally reflects you today. I’ve learned something about this back when I was studying design theory in college, right at the psychological aspect too. It happens to me a lot. Sometimes I would feel all-out and elaborate, sometimes I just want to have a simple and calming theme with a different approach to my site.

Good to see you again, talk to you soon! Also, my blog domain has a bit of a change. It’s .life now instead of .me :)
