Using Google Fonts
Did you know you could use Google Fonts on your website and use like any font you’d like for your titles and content? When I discovered google fonts, I was the happiest person on earth, because it’s so much easier to customize your website with them.
So, first go to Google Fonts Website. There you will have a list of fonts. Choose any font you like. For this tutorial we are going to choose the first one: Open Sans. Now look on the right side where your font is and you’ll see 3 buttons. Click on this one:
Now a new page will open. You have four sections here. So in the first section you have to choose the font styles you want for your website. I choose 3 of them:
Scroll down to section 3 and you will see a code there. Mine is this:
You have to copy this code and put it in your header.php file, between the <head> and </head> tags.
The next step is using it in your CSS. This is how I use it:
font:700 13px/20px ‘Open Sans’, cursive;
font:400 13px/20px ‘Open Sans’, italic;
400 is for normal font and 700 is for bolded font. Also for italic, you have to add font-style:italic; in your CSS. I hope you like it. You can find a lot of amazing fonts there, and use them in your theme.
