Integrate with your layout

BellaBuzz has it’s own predefined styling. If you want to integrate it with your layout, you have to change the codes. If you’re using a php layout you have to add your php includes codes and if you’re using wordpress you have to integrate wordpress with php pages. So, for php includes you’re going to have to use these codes:

For header.php:
<?php include(‘header.php’);?>

For footer.php:
<?php include(‘footer.php’);?>

If you’re using wordpress, the codes you’ll need to use are these (see integrate wordpress with php pages tutorial):

For wordpress header.php:
<?php require(‘ABSOLUTEPATH/wp-blog-header.php’); ?>
<?php get_header(); ?>

For wordpress footer.php:
<?php get_footer(); ?>

Now we have to customize our script. Open questions.php(or index.php if you changes the name of the file) and find this code:

<style type=”text/css”>
* { font: 11px/15px Verdana, Sans-Serif; }
.question { font-weight: bold; font-size: 12px; }
.answer { font-style: italic; }
.dates { display: block; text-align: right; font-size: 10px; }

This is your header code. You have to replace it with the codes that will get you the header.

Now where at the end of the file you will find:

This is where your footer will be, so replace the code with the one that gets your footer.php file.

Now open the ask.php file. This is the page that will show after somebody ask a question. Find this code at the end of the file:

<p>Your question was successfully added :) thank you! <a href=”questions.php”>return to questions?</a></p>

You have to add here the include header.php and footer.php codes. So here is how it’s going to look like:

<?php require(‘ABSOLUTEPATH/wp-blog-header.php’); ?>
<?php get_header(); ?>

<p>Your question was successfully added :) thank you! <a href=”questions.php”>return to questions?</a></p>

<?php get_footer(); ?>

That’s all. Now you have integrated BellaBuzz with your PHP Layout/Wordpress Theme.
